About Merick Reed:
Merick Reed is a modern minimalist sculptor, photographer and designer living and working in Saint Paul, Minnesota. His work expresses simple, graphic geometry balancing spare aesthetics with playful assertion.
Influenced by graphic and architectural design, his sculptural wall paintings are gestural arrangements; an interplay of dimensional facets and saturated monochromatic panels.
Reed obtained his BFA in 2019 from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. His awards include: International Photo Awards Honorable Mention, 2020; Graphic Design Annual Merit Award, 2017; and Made at MCAD Jurors' Choice Award, 2015.
His wall sculpture work was included in New American Paintings, Issue #155, 2022. His photography was also included in Communication Arts Photography Annual in 2020 and Shots Magazine in 2020.
